A deeper look into who we are, how we support healing, and
the values that shape the care we offer.
Hi there, I'm Margaret!
I am the founder of Anchor & Bloom, a holistic mental health practice created to support whole person healing through grief. My work blends traditional talk therapy with mind body spirit approaches, creating a space where emotional wellness, physical awareness, and inner balance are all equally valued.
My Approach to Healing
My mission is to help clients move through grief at its core, recognizing that unresolved loss often shows up in many areas of life including emotional and physical well being. Rather than focusing only on managing grief or trauma responses, I support clients in a deeper healing process that includes meaning making, emotional integration, and personal growth.
I believe grief is something that deserves to be met with compassion, patience, and care. In my work, I create a safe and supportive space where clients can gently explore their loss, feel truly seen and heard, and move at a pace that feels right for them. Healing is not something to rush. It is something we move through together.
In order to grieve well, we must be well. I support clients in caring for the whole self so they can begin to feel grounded and connected again.
My Experience
I have over 17 years of experience in grief support, working with individuals navigating loss in both clinical and coaching settings. I have developed and facilitated grief support programs, trained and mentored others in grief coaching, and created curriculum for groups and organizations focused on grief and healing. I also support professionals in learning how to hold space for grief in compassionate and effective ways.
My Credentials
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Communications. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and I am a certified coach through the International Coaching Alliance. I am also a Reiki Master Teacher and integrate holistic practices into my work to support the connection between mind, body, and spirit throughout the healing process.
What I Hope You Feel Here
My hope is that when you work with me, you feel supported, understood, and less alone. I want our work together to feel like a safe and steady space where you can be yourself without pressure or judgment.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple intention. To help you feel more connected to yourself, more supported in your grief, and more able to move toward healing, meaning, and wholeness again.
Why Anchor & Bloom?
Grief That Shaped My Path
My path into this work is deeply personal and rooted in both love and loss. I have experienced profound grief in many forms throughout my life, including pregnancy and infant loss. These experiences changed me in ways I could never have expected and ultimately shaped the way I show up for others today.
Through my own journey of grief, I came to understand how isolating and overwhelming loss can feel, especially when it is not always visible to the outside world. I also came to understand how healing is not about moving on, but about learning how to carry loss with care, meaning, and support.
Turning Pain Into Purpose
Early in my grief journey, I made a commitment to turn pain into purpose. That commitment has guided every step of my work since then. It is what led me into grief support, into creating spaces for healing, and into continuing to deepen my understanding of how people move through loss in both clinical and holistic ways.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting grieving individuals and families in many different settings, including hospitals, community programs, and bereavement support spaces. I have worked alongside compassionate care teams to help families feel supported during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and I have seen firsthand how powerful it is when grief is met with presence, care, and understanding.
Creating Anchor & Bloom
My work has continued to evolve as I have expanded into both clinical mental health counseling and holistic healing practices. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and have dedicated much of my career to integrating mind, body, and spirit approaches into grief support. I believe deeply that healing happens when we care for the whole person, not just the emotional experience of loss.
Anchor & Bloom was created from this evolution. It is a space where everything I have learned through both professional experience and personal grief comes together. It is a place for people to feel safe, supported, and gently guided as they navigate their own healing process.
At the heart of my story is a simple truth. Grief changes us, but we do not have to move through it alone.
“Grief is not something to get over, but something to move through, with compassion, support, and care for the whole self.”
— Margaret Pilon, Founder of Anchor & Bloom
